My Experience
My professional journey in healthcare has been profoundly rewarding. With over 15 years of experience as a nurse, I have acquired invaluable expertise across various disciplines, including adult and geriatric acute in-patient psychiatry, surgery, and community health. Completing my Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2013 has provided me with a comprehensive understanding of patient care. I am now pursuing my aspiration of becoming a Registered Psychologist, having recently completed a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology. I look forward to the opportunities that lie ahead in this new chapter of my career.
In my leisure time, I take pleasure in traveling with family and friends. I also engage in knitting and enjoy watching thought-provoking shows and documentaries.
My Approach to Therapy
My therapeutic approach is centered on the goals of my clients, emphasizing the creation of a safe and supportive environment where they can explore their concerns without judgment. I am committed to facilitating meaningful change within my clients, focusing on self-transformation rather than external alteration. Drawing on a range of psychological theories, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Grief Recovery, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, I am confident in my ability to provide effective and emotionally safe care. I prioritize establishing clear boundaries and employ a strength-based approach in all therapeutic practices, actively welcoming feedback from clients to ensure the highest quality of counselling.
